Edition #51 | The Clarity Filter | Monday, May 4, 2026

Most people live with good intentions but foggy direction. They fill their days with activity yet still feel disconnected from any meaningful purpose.

The result is exhaustion without fulfillment.

The problem is not lack of effort. The problem is lack of filtering. Without a clear mechanism to separate the essential from the noise, even sincere people drift from the very works they were created to do.

Let's get into it.

1 VERSE

Ephesians 2:10

"For we are Gods handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do."

This verse is not a suggestion. It is a statement of fact. You were intentionally designed for specific work that God already prepared. The Clarity Filter helps you stop missing what He has already set before you.

1 VOICE

"You must have the discipline to say no to good opportunities so you can say yes to the right ones."

Jim Collins is the author of Good to Great and Built to Last. His research has shown why some companies achieve lasting greatness while others do not. His core finding is that clarity and disciplined focus separate the great from the good.

Collins reminds us that the same principle applies to our personal lives. When we filter our days with the same rigor he teaches in business we stop drifting and start living with the purpose we were created to fulfill.

1 CHALLENGE

The Clarity Filter

The Clarity Filter removes everything clouding our sense of purpose. It forces us to examine every commitment against 1 Standard:

Does this align with who God made me to be and the work He prepared in advance for me?

Because great results never come from doing more. They come from doing less but doing what matters most.

Take ten minutes today and list your five biggest current commitments. Run each one through the Clarity Filter. Ask if it truly aligns with the good works God prepared for you. Identify one commitment that does not belong and take the first step to remove it or reduce it.

May The Force Be With You!
