Edition #50 | The Missing Piece | Friday, May 1, 2026

Have you ever felt stuck despite working harder than everyone around you? What if the missing piece was not more effort but more service?

Let's get into it.

1 VERSE

Proverbs 3:6

"In all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight."

This verse reminds us that when service flows from a heart submitted to God our path becomes clear. We stop forcing outcomes. We trust that consistent generous action aligned with His wisdom will open the right doors at the right time.

1 VOICE

Adam Grant

"Successful givers are those who give without expectation of immediate return."

Adam Grant spent years studying why some people rise to the top while others stay stuck. His research in the book ‘Give and Take’ showed that the most successful people are not the hardest workers or the smartest takers. They are the consistent givers. When you shift from keeping score to giving value, the generosity flywheel starts turning. Abundance follows not as a goal but as a natural result.

My thought process differs a bit from Adam’s in that I recommend giving without any expectation of a return at all. My biological dad Johnmichael, instilled that in me and still encourages and lives it today. Thanks Dad.

1 CHALLENGE

The Generosity Flywheel

Today perform one unexpected act of service for someone in your world. Share a helpful resource. Make a valuable introduction. Or give your time and expertise with zero expectation of anything in return.

The principle is this. Every time you serve someone without expecting immediate return you add energy to a flywheel that builds its own unstoppable momentum. What started as deliberate service becomes a natural cycle of value given and received.
